Photoresistor Component

A photoresistor (also known as a Light Dependent Resistor or LDR) is a component whose resistance changes based on the amount of light hitting it. The distinctive serpentine pattern increases the surface area of the light-sensitive material.

How it works: In darkness, resistance is high (hundreds of kilohms). In bright light, resistance is low (hundreds of ohms).
