Mascot Student Update Prompt
On 2026-04-16 we had open office hours for the team. We worked together to improve the pedagogical mascot. After the office hours I wanted to show them how the mascot would look. Here is my prompt and the response generated by the brand new Opus 4.7 model.

Please help me compose a detailed email message to the students and the profs about all the changes we made. First, congratulate the students on the good progress they made and the clever creation of line-art SVG draw mascots. Then tell them about the progress we made generating all the mascot images and the challenges of getting all the mascot images with transparent backgrounds. Note that we use my personal ChatGPT to generate the images. Then tell them about the mascot test page and the tools we use to trim the extra padding and the update of the CSS to use the neutral mascot for the logo and the favicon. Tell them that the mascot generation is tricky because Claude Code can't generate png images so it has to write image-prompts and we have to use another text-to-image tool to do the generation.
Tell them that the new Claude Desktop is MUCH easier to use than the old Terminal interface, but it takes some time to get used to. Also encourage everyone to try the new Opus 4.7 since it is MUCH better at reasoning and writing complex Microsims.
