About This MicroSim¶
An interactive plot with Skill on the x-axis and Challenge on the y-axis. The diagonal band represents the flow channel, where challenge and skill are well-matched. Above the diagonal lies the anxiety zone (and beyond it, panic). Below the diagonal lies the boredom zone (and beyond it, apathy).
Use the Challenge and Skill sliders to move the learner marker and watch which zone they land in. Enable Show trajectory to see a fading trail as you adjust the sliders -- useful for simulating a learner whose skill grows during a session.
Learning Objective (Apply): Given a learner profile, adjust task challenge so that the learner lands in the flow channel rather than anxiety or boredom.
