About This MicroSim¶
This MicroSim implements a six-stage fading progression for a chosen concept. Starting from a fully worked example, each stage removes one more step, until the learner solves independently. A cognitive load meter shows extraneous load decreasing as the learner takes on more responsibility.
Controls:
- Concept -- choose from Bayes' Rule or Conditional Probability
- Previous/Next Stage -- step through the six fading stages
- Self-Explain Prompts -- toggle "why does this step work?" prompts
- Reset -- return to stage 1
Learning Objective (Apply): Given a target concept and a learner profile, choose the appropriate stage in the fading progression and justify the choice in cognitive-load terms.
