Presentation Effectiveness Rubric

Run the Presentation Effectiveness Rubric MicroSim Fullscreen

About This MicroSim

This visual rubric lays out how a capstone project presentation is scored: seven criteria — problem definition, technical architecture, implementation quality, live demonstration, results and evidence, presentation skills, and Q&A handling — each rated across four performance levels from Exemplary (4 points) down to Beginning (1 point). It gives students a clear, concrete target for what excellent work looks like in each dimension, for a maximum of 28 points.

How to Use

Read across any criterion row to see how performance progresses from Beginning to Exemplary, and read down a level column to see what that standard means across all criteria. Hover any cell to read its full descriptor in the panel below. Use it before presenting to self-assess and aim each part of your project at the Exemplary column.
