Ai Persona Testing¶
Lens is the mascot for the AI Persona Testing textbook. Lens takes the form of an anthropomorphic magnifying glass, a direct visual stand-in for close examination of evidence rather than an animal borrowed for personality alone. The name plays on the double meaning of a lens as both an optical instrument for magnification and the interpretive frame a researcher brings to any body of evidence — apt for a book about distinguishing real customer signal from AI-generated noise. Lens was chosen so the mascot never risks being mistaken for a synthetic persona or an all-knowing AI system itself, which matters directly for a discipline built on skepticism toward exactly that failure mode. This is a strong mascot choice because the character's form and behavior both encode the book's central discipline: examine closely, distinguish observation from inference, and never take a claim at face value.
