Semiconductor Physics Course¶
Nova the Electron Sprite is the mascot for Semiconductor Physics Course. Electrons, holes, energy bands, and charge transport are the invisible actors behind semiconductor behavior, so an electron character gives those abstractions a stable visual identity. Nova evokes a sudden release of light and energy, fitting semiconductor topics such as excitation, recombination, LEDs, and photonic devices. Nova was chosen to help students reason about carrier movement and energy changes as processes rather than static equations. The character type directly represents the course's central particle and the name reinforces energy and light, making this a strong conceptual mascot.
