  1. Check the Scene — Pause long enough to notice hazards before approaching.
  2. Recognize — Look for unresponsiveness, breathing trouble, severe bleeding, choking, or other urgent signs.
  3. Call for Help — Activate a trusted adult and emergency services quickly.
  4. Choking Response — Severe choking requires immediate trained action and emergency activation.
  5. Emergency Medication — Emergency medication should follow the person’s plan and trained adult guidance.
