  4. Judgment — Impairment can increase confidence while reducing accurate risk assessment.
  5. Passenger Influence — Passengers can increase pressure or help stop an unsafe trip.
  6. Seatbelts — Every occupant should use a seatbelt on every trip.
  7. Alternate Ride — Use a sober driver, caregiver, taxi or rideshare, transit, or a safe place to stay.
  8. Hold the Keys Safely — A sober friend or adult may help prevent access to a vehicle when it can be done safely.
  9. Community and Legal Consequences — Impaired driving can harm people and bring school, family, financial, and legal consequences.
  10. Emergency Response — Call emergency services for a crash, unresponsive person, breathing danger, or immediate threat on the road.
